This Week's Parsha:
Devarim
This Dessert:
Gigantic Pomegranate
Moshe recounts the story of Bnei Yisroel sending spies to scout out Eretz Canaan in which the spies bring back several gigantic fruits, one of them a pomegranate.
What You Need:
Ingredients
Extra fudgy brownie
½ cup red sprinkles
Things
Plate with low rim
How to Make It:
Crumble up the mushy middle part of the brownie (trying not to use the harder edges and top crust).
Reserve one tablespoon of mushy brownie.
Roll the rest of the mushy brownie into one large ball.
Pour a thick layer of red sprinkles on a low rimmed plate.
Roll the ball in the sprinkles to cover completely.
Using the reserved tablespoon of mushy brownie, shape a crown with a short base.
Poke a hole in the top of the large ball just big enough to fit the base of the crown inside.
Place the crown inside this hole and smooth around it to connect the two pieces, you may need to add a little bit more brownie to fill in the cracks.
Place red sprinkles in your hand and press them onto the crown until it is completely covered.
