This Week's Parsha
Nitzavim-Vayeilech
This Dessert:
A Ladder
We have no excuses not to learn and follow the Torah, we don’t need to build a ladder to reach it in the heavens.
What You Need:
Ingredients
1 recipe brownie batter
4 thin stick pretzels
2 tablespoons chocolate
Things
2 piping bags
Baking sheet
Parchment paper
Scissors
How to Make It:
Heat the oven to 325℉.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Fill a piping bag with brownie batter. Twist the top of the bag closed.
Cut off a small piece of the tip of the bag.
Pipe small circles of brownie batter, 2 inches in diameter, onto the lined baking sheet. To make the circles just hold the piping bag over the baking sheet and gently squeeze while holding the bag in place.
Bake for about 10 minutes until the center of the cookie no longer looks moist.
Lay out a sheet of parchment paper over your work surface.
Melt the chocolate using your preferred method.
Crack 2 pretzels into thirds – these will be the rungs of the ladder.
Arrange the pretzels in the shape of a ladder. Lay down 2 full pretzels parallel to each other. In between these 2 pretzels place 4 pretzel thirds, ‘rungs’, perpendicular to them.
Place the melted chocolate into a piping bag and pipe a large dot of chocolate over each joint where 2 pretzel pieces meet up.
Let the chocolate set at room temperature or carefully transfer to the fridge or freezer.
When the cookies are cool and the ladders are solidified, stick a standing ladder into each cookie.
